*I am not getting paid by Sager to write this, talk about it, or anything else. I’m just bragging for them because they’re a great company.
If you’re looking at picking up a laptop soon, I urge you to take a look at this:
A couple of years ago, I bought my first Sager Notebook. I was hooked and will never buy from another company, unless something really crazy happens. Someone close to me works with a major computer company that rightfully rhymes with “hell”, and I had another friend offer me a discount with that company’s brand. Won’t take it. Sager Notebooks are cheaper than what you’ll get from another company for a comparable product (last time, mine was over $300 cheaper than a less powerful Dell model), and you can pretty much customize them however you want. I know a major video game design company that uses them just about exclusively. They’re top notch products. All that’s good, but here’s what sold me, and why I have another one on the way any day.
I ordered a computer, and one part got held up in customs, so it was a week or two late. Wasn’t a big deal at all and they were good about letting me know. Then it came, and the bill was wrong. They gave me a hard drive almost double what I was supposed to get, and charged me $40 less than I was supposed to pay. I thought that as I matter of integrity, I should let them know about it and take care of it. I let them know what happened, and offered to just pay the extra for the hard drive, because it was probably something that I’d wind up doing eventually anyway. They had treated me well up to this point and I didn’t mind the mishap.
Then, I was informed that their price structure changed between the time that I ordered the computer and the time that it shipped. Rather than stick to what we agreed to, they just went ahead and gave me the better price, and the better hard drive. What company does that? Apparently, Sager does.
So, I’m getting a superior product, paying less, and getting to work with people with great integrity that are looking out for me. Oh yeah, great service to boot. They’ve won my business.
